I am Robert Ingram, owner and director of RDI Consulting Ltd with 14 years of experience in the telecoms
industry. My previous positions include Customer Service Manager at Alcatel-Lucent, Service manager at ntl:Telewest business
as well as positions in Workplace Technologies PLC, LanBase and Cabletron Systems (now Enterasys).
I am a certified
ITIL Service Manager whose specialitites include; Service Level Management, Service Performance Management, Service Transition,
Service Improvement as well as 3rd Party Vendor/Supplier Management. I have a solid business and commercial awareness brought
about by delivering multi-million pound service contracts.
Up until mid November 2009 I had been working very closely
with BT Operate. Focused on the transtion, implementation and transformation of complex, multi vendor outsourced managed services
and developing the strong business partnerships required to deliver services successfully.
My technical skills were
learnt at grass roots level at Cabletron Systems, LanBase (Nortel) and Workplace Technologies (Cisco/3Com) which enabled me
to become a key player in the design and roll out of ntl:Telewest's DIA and National Ethernet product sets.
As
one of the very first ITIL accredited service managers in ntl:Telewest business I was responsible for the design and implementation
of many ITIL processes within the business, such as service level agreements and service/continuous improvement plans.
At
Alcatel-Lucent I had proven success in delivering significant cost reductions in repair and technical support services across
multiple managed services and identifying and implementing margin improvement initiatives that could deliver cash benefits
to your business.
RDI Consulting Ltd was registered with Companies House in October 2009 in response to redundancy.
The purpose of the company is to allow me the option of undertaking contract roles within the telecommunications/IT industry.
